Stories Related to Major Issues Remain: Leaders Say Still Productive Legislative Session

By Bobby Harrison Daily Journal Jackson Bureau JACKSON – Much of the talk going into the 2017 legislative session from the Republican leadership of the House and Senate centered around transportation needs and the proposed rewrite of the historic Mississippi Adequate Education Program, which is the mechanism that provides state funds to local school districts to help with their basic operation. Both are big undertakings.
