CRYSTAL LAKE – Main Street has reopened after being temporarily closed Friday due to an electrical problem. Crystal Lake police said in a Nixle alert sent about 8:44 a.m. that drivers should avoid northbound Main Street, between Congress Parkway and Crystal Lake Avenue. A police dispatcher said Friday afternoon the road had reopened. The closure was due to an electrical problem from the electrical transformer box.
