Made In Jersey: Boardwalks

The first boardwalk in the world was built in New Jersey. Although Atlantic City gets the credit, Cape May was the first Shore town to place boards on the sand for use as a temporary walkway to keep visitors from dragging beach sand into hotels and railroad cars in 1868.
