Longtime Stamford Resident Dies After Pedestrian Crash

STAMFORD — A longtime West Side man who was struck by a car while crossing West Broad Street two weeks ago has died of injuries sustained in the crash. Sgt. Andrew Gallagher said that Gennaro Siviglia, 72, of Hanrahan Street, died at Stamford Hospital late Tuesday morning. Gallagher said Seviglia was better known by his nickname “Jerry” and a number of people have expressed their grief after hearing about his passing to officers on the street.
