RIVERHEAD, N.Y. (AP) — A Long Island man with a history of mental illness has been convicted of manslaughter and assault for choking his brother to death and beating his mother. Newsday reports (http://nwsdy.li/2bdNDPZ ) that defense lawyer Eric Besso argued that Okonkwo Jr. acted recklessly but didn't intend to kill his brother or hurt his mother.
