Loeffler Found Guilty Of Murder

A jury this afternoon found an 86-year-old La Pine man guilty of murdering his wife.Lawrence Loeffler admitted that he shot and killed his wife, 83-year-old Betty Jane Loeffler, at their home in south county in January. He claimed in police interviews that he killed her out of fear she and her daughter were plotting his demise.
