IOWA CITY — The Iowa City Public Library will celebrate Children’s Book Week, the annual celebration of children’s books and reading, Monday through May 6 with a series of special readings. Established in 1919, Children’s Book Week is the longest-running national literacy initiative in the country. The program is administered by Every Child A Reader and the Children’s Book Council is the anchor sponsor. The library readings are as follows: Intergenerational Storytime, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
