In response to “our view” (Sept. 19), the reader from Courtdale was right when she listed the problems caused by feral cats roaming the area. If a cat is owned by someone, they should pay a license fee the same as a dog owner. I take exception to the stand taken by the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals that ”license laws should exclude feral cat colonies … because feral cats are not companions and pets.” In other words, the removing of feral cats would cause two problems.
