Letter: Councilors Must Earn Their Keep

Didn’t we just give our mayor and the city council more pay, and for what? Now I read about a possible pay raise (“2-4% pay hike eyed for city leaders,” March 20, The Columbian). Has their overall performance improved? I don’t think so. If these people we have elected were working for a corporation they would either achieve the goals set for them or they would be fired.
