Stories Related to Lepage Says He Will Veto Senior Housing Bond

AUGUSTA — Gov. Paul LePage says he plans to veto a $15 million bond proposal to support the construction of more affordable senior housing across Maine. LePage signed an $85 million bond proposal for road and bridge repairs on Wednesday. But he told the Maine Public Broadcasting Network that Democratic House Speaker Mark Eves’ proposed bond is unnecessary because the Maine State House Authority can already issue bonds for senior housing.
