Len Perkins wants to know why.-- Why he was let go as the Anchor Bay softball coach on June 22 after 13 seasons that included 12 district championships, three league championships, three trips to the state final four and no losing records.-- Why the school district that employed him for 50 years as a teacher, administrator and coach cut him loose without warning - "blindsided" was how Perkins put it - to end to a career during which Perkins was named to Michigan baseball and Macomb County coaching halls of fame.
