OLYMPIA — Lawmakers are considering legislation that would make rules for releasing police body camera footage permanent, but would continue to waive penalties if videos are withheld in violation of the law. Senate Bill 6408, sponsored by Spokane Republican Sen. Mike Padden, would remove the June 1, 2019 expiration date from the 2016 law.
