GREEN Capitol Bureau rmgreen@oklahoman.comThe Oklahoma Tax Commission would hire 40 new auditors to crack down on those who don't pay their full share of taxes under a bill that cleared an Oklahoma legislative committee on Thursday. The bill, which would bring in an estimated $53 million in new revenue, is part of a slate of tax reform legislation that is starting to advance in the final weeks of the legislative session as lawmakers struggle to close a $1.3 billion budget hole. Commission Executive Director Tony Mastin said the new auditors would help the state go after retailers who under-report their sales.
