He creates abstract, orchestral clouds with his special hybrid of classical and electronic music. And in the HBO series' second season, Richter ("Shutter Island" and "Recomposed by Max Richter," a reworking of Vivaldi's "The Four Seasons" on Deutsche Grammophon) makes even greater use of piano, celesta and harp.
