Little Cypress-Mauriceville elementary students returned to full-day classes today after starting the year with shortened school days. Four of the district's six campuses were severely damaged by Harvey. The first of those, Little Cypress Junior High, reopens today for Mauriceville Elementary students. Little Cypress Elementary preschool through second-graders will continue to have classes at North Orange Baptist Church, and the third-graders will stay at Little Cypress Intermediate but will now attend full-day classes instead of half-days. Sixth- through 12th-graders will remain on split schedules at the high school campus until portable buildings are available.
