It gives off a nice wood odor in the house as well as they dry The chimney is masonry. CO2 levels when using stove | Hearth.com Forums Home Recently got an indoor air quality monitor for the house. Was making sure no smoke was getting in due to asthma and allergy in the house. Everything looks ok other than CO2. It only went up quickly when I started the stove. I have CO meters throughout the house and nothing has ever shown up. Even on peak monitoring. Please advise! Neighbours wood smoke blowing into my home My family and I just moved into a new house 4 months ago located next to a wood burner. He has a wood stove that has been used all winter as well as into the spring as their primary source of heat. We have a heat pump with mini splits in the study and in the dining room. The up stairs will have another few mini-split heads for room heating.
