The question of who is driving the train in Akron on a variety of topics is about to be posed in an unusual way.To spark the conversation and get others on board, Kyle Kutuchief, the Akron program chair for the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, has rented the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad’s special-event train to host the conversations. The events will be invitation-only and organizers say they’re trying to make sure they have a good representation of people for a robust conversation aboard the trains.Kutuchief said the three train excursions are a follow-up to the Beacon Journal’s Leadership Series that examined the Akron area’s aging leadership and just who is waiting in the wings.“Those conversations didn’t end with the articles,” Kutuchief said.
