The calendar says 2011, but for Kid Rock, it's forever the 1970s. Fittingly, the 130-minute concert commenced with an onscreen montage highlighting Rock's 1971 birth year. Aside from prerecorded video greetings by contemporary celebrities like Conan O'Brien, little else from the pyrotechnic extravaganza suggested we currently live in an era of smartphones.
