President Trump faced criticism on Twitter and elsewhere Friday night and Saturday morning before breaking his silence on the matter of the Unite the Right event in Charlottesville, Va., and the chaos and violence surrounding it, which resulted in the declaration of a state of emergency, but by afternoon Trump had posted a message on the social-media platform.
