PARMA, Ohio (AP) — A jury in Cleveland has acquitted a man charged with creating a fake Facebook page that purported to be a suburban police department’s actual page. Jurors this past week decided that Anthony Novak of Parma didn’t violate the state’s disrupting public services law. Police in Parma and prosecutors said the page led to confusion and distracted 911 dispatchers who took calls from people confused by the page. The fake page had items about ways sex offenders could have their names taken off the state sex offender database.
