A 54-year-old man who barricaded himself inside a Chaffee County home on Wednesday was shot by deputies and arrested on suspicion of domestic violence and attempted murder, state investigators said.
Chaffee County sheriff’s deputies responded to a domestic violence call at a rural home west of Salida around 4 p.m. Wednesday, according to a news release from the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
When deputies arrived, the woman who called 911 had already left the house and was inside a neighbor’s home, CBI officials said.
