Founder John Schnatter is out as CEO of Papa John's International Inc. The Louisville-based pizza company announced the promotion of current president Steve Ritchie to that post Jan. 1. Schnatter will remain on as chairman. Schnatter is a fixture in the Louisville business community — albeit a controversial one at times. He most recently stirred up a rage storm on Twitter after commenting on how NFL player protest over racism were affecting pizza sales.
