DALLAS — The Colorado Avalanche has shaken up the goaltending position for a second time this season. Colorado traded backup goalie Justus Annunen and a sixth-round pick in the 2025 NHL draft to the Nashville Predators for veteran Scott Wedgewood. The 32-year-old Wedgewood has played for four teams. He signed a two-year contract worth $1.5 million per season with the Predators this past summer.

A pair was hospitalized after a shooting in an east Aurora condominium complex Friday evening, according to police. Officers responded to multiple 911 calls about gunshots in the 18400 block of Kepner Place at about 6:15 p.m. When first responders arrived, they found one man suffering from life-threatening injuries and took him to the hospital. A second man transported himself to a local urgent care and was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Police said Friday night that they were still investigating the incident but believed there were no suspects at large.
