Jenny Slate joins the Venom movie at Sony Pictures Jenny Slate (Gifted, Obvious Child) is in negotiations to join Sony Pictures‘ Venom movie, according to Variety. She would join a cast that already includes Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams and Riz Ahmed. The site adds that Slate would play a scientist in the film. Writers Scott Rosenberg (Pain & Gain, Jumanji) & Jeff Pinkner (The Amazing Spider-Man 2) will pen the script for the Venom film, which has Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland, Gangster Squad) directing.
