Jacksonville Journal: Big Winner In Lotto

A 69-year-old St. Augustine man is more than a little better off after accepting his share of the $16 million Florida Lotto jackpot from Aug. 24 Carl Benedict chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $6.05 million, the Lottery recently announced. Benedict bought his jackpot-winning Lotto ticket from the 125 Jenkins St.
