IO, one of Chicago’s major improv comedy institutions, is about to get a lot bigger. The 31-year-old IO, where show biz luminaries such as Tina Fey, Chris Farley, Amy Poehler and Mike Meyers have trained and performed, is expected to start the build out on a new 33,000-square-foot space at 1501 N.
