The S.C. General Assembly passed Act 70 which went into effect June 8 and prohibits council governments from adding to a meeting agenda once it is officially posted 24 hours prior to the meeting time. Act 70 relates to provisions in the S.C. Freedom of Information Act concerning required notice for public meetings and agendas for scheduled and special meetings.
