Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) sent a sternly worded letter Monday to the government’s 73 inspectors general asking that they inform Congress of serious violations under investigation. In the letter, Issa, who is chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, expressed his displeasure that the inspector general of the General Services Administration failed to inform Congress of an investigation into a 2010 employee conference in Las Vegas that cost more than $823,000.
