The number of people being treated for COVID-19 in Iowa’s hospitals and intensive care units has dropped to the lowest number the state has seen since July. Hospitalizations dipped from 227 to 196 during the 24-hour period ending at 11 a.m. Friday, marking the first time hospitalizations have dipped below 200 since July 16, according to the Iowa Department of Public Health, The number of patients in intensive care units also dropped from 55 to 45, the lowest since July 9.Patients on ventilators also dropped from 22 to 18, the lowest recorded since July 6.
