An infant who was asleep was struck by a gunshot early this morning and is being treated for serious injuries. According to Amarillo police, the owner and his family of P.D. Smoke Shop, 2714 S.W. 34th Ave., were asleep in the back of the store when someone fired a gunshot through a window on the back of the building. The incident was reported at 6:24 a.m.
