Ice Program Helps Colorado Springs Veteran Find Post-army Career

For most of the last decade, Fort Carson soldier Doug Alexander battled a slew of injuries. He and U.S. military doctors struggled to figure out what was causing reoccurring pain and numbness in his legs.Then in early 2015, a Colorado Springs neurosurgeon discovered the root of the problem. Alexander, a chief warrant officer, had back surgery and was forced to take a medical discharge in June.
