Miami coach Mario Cristobal said star defensive line Rueben Bain Jr. will be back on the field for the Hurricanes’ road game against Cal on Saturday. Additionally, Cristobal said starting left tackle Jalen Rivers will be a “game-time decision.” Rivers played the entirety of Miami’s season-opener but has not played since. Bain has missed nearly the entire season so far with what Cristobal has described as a “soft-tissue injury.” He left Miami’s season-opener on the first drive of the game and has not returned since. Bain took part in some warm-ups before UM’s win over Virginia Tech on Friday but did not play. Bain was last year’s ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year after racking up 44 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks.
