Houston Is At Its Wettest State In Two Years

The rains are almost over for now — to be replaced by high pressure and heat — and it’s been quite a run over the last 12 days. Here’s a look at the rainfall map showing how the region did.    The bottom line is that the rains have done their job, and done it well, with regard to the great drought of 2011, which for some parts of the Houston metro area still lingered earlier this month.  Now the drought is unequivocally over.
