House Votes To Expand Wilderness In 9 States

The 285-140 roll call Wednesday by which the House voted to aside more than 2 million acres in nine states as protected wilderness. More than 1,000 miles of rivers in nearly a dozen states also would gain protections. The legislation now goes to President Barack Obama for his signature.
