President Joe Biden does not plan to pardon his son Hunter, who was convicted on federal gun charges, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said during a press briefing yesterday. Via ABC News:
Hunter Biden is scheduled to be sentenced next month on the gun charges as well as federal tax-related charges in a separate case.
When asked Thursday whether the president has any intention of pardoning his son, Jean-Pierre responded, "We've been asked that question multiple times.
Some people have a really disgusting sense of humor. This is a hate crime.
"Federal authorities are looking into disturbing and racist text messages sent from unknown numbers, rather, to Black Americans in at least ten different states in this country," said Gayle King on CBS Morning.
"Now many of the messages which were sent to middle school, high school, and college students, and make reference to slavery.
Politico reported that Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker’s “you come through me” warning was about “minority and underserved communities of Illinois.” Presumably, that means Hispanics Trump and his band of ethnic cleansing enthusiasts are itching to round up and deport. Also, Black Lives Matter protesters Team Trump would love to round up and maybe shoot.
The even better news is that Pritzker is not the only Democratic governor who is already prepared for the horrors Trump and Vance want to impose.
Corey Lewandowski picked the wrong guy to get into a fight with over who was going to dominate the Trump campaign. And LaCivita seems in no mood to be conciliatory to Lewandowski after it's believed Lewandowski planted a slew of negative stories against LaCivita earlier this summer.
On Tuesday, Lewandowski extended a hand to LaCivita and offered a “congratulations.” That did not go well.

Some gloating here from Scott Jennings, as CNN's resident Trump apologist took delight in slagging the Never Trump movement, the Lincoln Project, and other former Republicans saying they've "bilked millions upon millions upon millions of dollars from Democratic donors." Members of that movement have ridiculed Jennings and others of his ilk given prominent places in the mainstream media to normalize Trump's antics.
