Birdman, also known by its artsy-fartsy title, BiRDMAN (or The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance), was seen as being key to bringing Beetlejuice Beetlejuice star Michael Keaton back into the spotlight. But it's more like it moved him even further into the spotlight, considering the A-lister never really went anywhere. At the very least, Keaton himself doesn't see Alejandro Gonzlez Irritu's film as his so-called comeback.

As well as providing dozens of fan-service cameos featuring beloved Marvel characters, Deadpool & Wolverine also pays homage to the comics that made the movie possible. During the montage where Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) traverses timelines in search of a new Wolverine (Hugh Jackman, and, briefly, Henry Cavill), Reynolds and director Shawn Levy slipped in several nods to popular comics featuring Deadpool and Logan.
