STOCKTON — A fire underneath South Airport Way at Mormon Slough closed the major north/south boulevard for several hours Wednesday as crews assessed and started repairing the bridge.The fire was reportedly started about midnight as a warming fire by people at a homeless encampment under the bridge. At some point it got out of control and started burning large piles of debris scattered under the bridge.
