Himes Talks Trump In Stamford Town Hall Meeting

Himes, D-Conn., visited the University of Connecticut-Stamford for the last in a series of town hall meetings with his Fairfield County constituents to discuss topics spanning health care, defense, immigration and trade deals. Comments from audience members about education, the Affordable Care Act and using so-called “soft power” in dealing with other countries, were met with applause. A woman from Stamford asked Himes how his constituents could work with other communities and help him advance a Democratic agenda and hold people in office accountable. Locally, Himes addressed potential immigration crackdowns — saying the Stamford police do not work with U.S.
