Higher Makeup Demand Boosts Estee Lauder Profit

NEW YORK (AP) — Strong demand for its makeup helped Estee Lauder post better-than-expected financial results during its fiscal first quarter. The cosmetics company also boosted its dividend 25 percent and shares of the cosmetics company rose more than 7 percent in morning trading Monday. Estee Lauder said demand for its Tom Ford and Smashbox makeup lines was strong, sending total makeup sales up 14 percent from a year ago to $1.16 billion.Read more on NewsOK.com
