Southerland, who just finished his junior season, joins right-hander Kyle Tyler as a Sooner commitment. “I think OU got in there, let him know they wanted him and I think he felt comfortable with them,” Westmoore coach Jarod Freeman said. Southerland hit .400 last season, hitting five home runs, eight doubles and driving in 32 runs. PUTNAM CITY GRAD RANEY TRANSFERS TO UAFS After two years at Canisius (N.Y.), former Putnam City basketball standout Dominique Raney is transferring to Arkansas-Fort Smith.
