The president at the High Desert Museum plans to retire, the museum south of Bend announced Monday.President Janeanne Upp plans to leave the post after nearly six years, according to the museum. She started in early 2008. A national search is planned to find a replacement.Before coming to the High Desert Museum, Upp was the chief financial officer of the Museum of Science and Industry and then the chief operating officer at the Museum of Contemporary Art, both in Chicago, as well as the executive director of the Tacoma (Wash.) Art Museum.
