Shares of Brazilian chemical manufacturer Braskem (NYSE: BAK) erupted over 13% Friday after the company and its parent, Odebrecht, announced they were in advanced talks with U.S. and Brazilian authorities to settle corruption charges stemming from bribes paid to Petrobras.
