A Plantation Police officer was hospitalized Tuesday afternoon after a car crash in Davie, police say. Plantation Police officers were attempting to arrest a man with outstanding warrants when he fled in a car, “causing multiple traffic crashes,” Det. Chavez Grant, a Plantation Police spokesperson, said in an email to the South Florida Sun Sentinel Tuesday evening.

Days after a Brightline train smashed into a Delray Beach Fire Rescue engine on the tracks in downtown Delray Beach, several questions remain unanswered about the circumstances of the crash. And a year ago Saturday, the ACC sued Florida State, in an effort to strengthen its Grant of Rights agreement, and to try to stop FSU’s impending litigation before it started. The Hurricanes will need two new starting safeties next year.
