The Harvard Police Department received several reports on Tuesday from residents about a vehicle being stolen, items taken from cars and vehicles rifled through. All the vehicles were unlocked, and in one case the keys left in the car, police say. Authorities said they want to remind the community to secure their vehicles and remove their personal belongings from plain view when leaving their vehicles unattended at home or when out around town. Some tips from the police department to avoid becoming a victim of a car burglary or theft are: Lock your doors and roll up your windows.
