A 35-year-old Hartford man charged in three cold case murders turned down a plea offer on Wednesday that would have sent him to prison for 70 years.Instead, Harold Patterson, 35, opted to take his chances with a jury. If convicted in the three cases, he faces up to 180 years in prison.
