Hard-hitting Spring Storm To Be Followed By Warmer, Less Windy Days In Pikes Peak Region

On Tuesday, many residents across the Pikes Peak region were wearing shorts, riding bikes, going on hikes and enjoying the sunshine.A day later, everything changed.A powerful spring blizzard came through northern El Paso County Wednesday, closing roads, knocking out power, keeping many people indoors and causing headaches for drivers. High winds reduced visibility to zero in some places in El Paso and Teller counties.According to El Paso County spokesman Dave Rose, several roads in and around Colorado Springs remained closed as of 8:45 p.m.
