Hampton Council Bans Animal Tethering In City

HAMPTON Beginning next year, animal tethering will be illegal in Hampton. Media outlets report that the Hampton City Council voted Wednesday evening to ban animal tethering within city limits. The new law is effective Jan. 1, 2013. City staff had proposed a less restrictive law that would have allowed animal tethering during day hours if pet owners obtained a $25 permit.read more
