Guinea: Riot Police Break Up Rally For Ex-military Leader

CONAKRY, Guinea (AP) — Demonstrators in Guinea say riot police used tear gas to break up a rally demanding the return of a former military ruler who wants to run for president despite facing charges related to a 2009 massacre. In September 2009, the presidential guard opened fire on protesters demanding his resignation, killing at least 156.
