Sometimes movie ideas come out of thin air. That's what happened to comedian Patton Oswalt while flying in a plane Tuesday above McHenry County, when he looked at his in-flight map and saw the name of two McHenry County towns: Woodstock and Crystal Lake. Oswalt took to Twitter to share: "My airplane’s flight map just gave me an amazing idea for a Jason Vorhees time travel movie," Oswalt tweeted. He was referring to the 1993 Bill Murray time travel film "Groundhog Day," partly filmed in Woodstock, and Camp Crystal Lake, the fictional summer camp for kids in the "Friday the 13th" slasher film series and the story's central character, a mask-wearing Vorhees. Before the flight, Oswalt was in Naperville with the family of his late wife, Michelle McNamara, promoting her book, "I’ll Be Gone in the Dark: One Woman’s Obsessive Search for the Golden State Killer.” Two hours later, news broke that police arrested a suspect in the murders and rapes his late wife had spent years investigating.
