BOSTON — Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker said he has high hopes about the decision by Dell to buy Hopkinton-based data storage company EMC.Baker said in a statement Monday that EMC has been an anchor of the Massachusetts technology economy for decades, and that he's "optimistic that the newly combined Dell-EMC enterprise systems unit will have a robust presence locally for years to come."The deal is valued at approximately $67 billion and is expected to give Dell a major presence in the data storage market.
